I’ve worked with a number of materials and explored a range of subjects. For each approach to a subject, I would employ a change in media. I’ve worked in watercolor, pastel, pen & ink, pencil, and oil. But I continue to return to painting with oil as my most satisfying means of expression. Since about 2013, I’ve experimented with Alla Prima painting, and the Plein Air tradition.
I attended the Philadelphia College of Art, now the University of the Arts, and spent some time at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, which got me off to a good start.
